The Pickerington City Council is seeking resumes from citizens who would like to be considered for appointment to City Council. A recent vacancy was created by the resignation of a council member. The successful applicant would serve the remainder of this term which will end December 31, 2017. All applicants must be a resident of the City of Pickerington and a registered voter. Pickerington City Council members are non-partisan and serve at-large. City Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:30 P.M. If you’re interested, please submit a resume to the attention of City Clerk Heather Moore, at 100 Lockville Road, Pickerington 43147 or hmoore@pickerington.net, no later than 5 P.M on July 14th. Candidate interviews will be conducted during the week of July 24th.

Big Comic Show

This program for all ages.


The 2017 edition of the Big Comic Show will be our 4th year running.

Creators can reserve their tables now.

There will be LOTS of comics; there will be art; there will be workshops; there will be gaming; there will be FOOD; there will be….well…more of everything..

Comics wills be available for sale and signing. And there will be more information posted as activities are added to the menu.  A creator list will be posted soon.

For hungry comic fans, we are pleased to announce a partnership with Trucking Delicious – How food should taste for the Big Comic Show on Saturday, May 6!

Their awesome food truck will be onsite vending that day. #truckingdelicious

Activity List:

Free Comic Book Day!  The library is a participating site for this amazing annual event.  Free Comics while supplies last.  Distribution guidelines will be announced as we get closer to the day.

Workshops are open to teens and adults. Registration is required and is available online.

11 a.m. -1 p.m.    The Plot Thickens with Lucy A. Snyder 
Lucy leads a two hour discussion on the mechanics of various plots and narrative structures and how they can be applied to fiction, games, and nonfiction.

11 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Pathfinder Society Event – Early Session 
Try out a new game with the experts. Space is limited to 6 gamers.

1- 2 p.m.  Awesome Cover Ideas with Christ Ehnot 
Chris will conduct a live demonstration for artists, of all skill levels, interested in creating their own comics.

1- 2 p.m.  Woman of Wonder 
Laura Bickle offers an historical — and personal — survey of William Marston’s iconic character: Wonder Woman ®.

1 - 6 p.m. Pathfinder Society Event – Later Session
Try out a new game with the experts. Space is limited to 6 gamers.

2 - 3 p.m. From the Dark Ages to Now 
Author and poet Matt Betts presents a stimulating survey of the history of superhero movies.

3 - 4 p.m. – Comic Book Buzz with Penguin Random House
Are you a DC or Dark Horse fan?  Do you want the scoop on the newest titles, on your favorite story lines, before they hit the shelves?   Amanda Fensch, Sales Manager for Penguin Random House, talks about the hottest comics she can’t wait for, and that will have you buzzing too.   And you won’t just walk away with the latest book news!
